Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

This analysis was very challenging. It involved verification of the design solutions used and the selection of materials for the components of a vertical axis wind turbine.

We used transient dynamic analysis. A major challenge was the definition of the materials in terms of their properties and material models. Only by comparing experimental and numerical results it was possible to fine-tune the digital model. As a result, the simulation produced high quality results.
